Editors-Meet-Critic: "Spirituality and Religion within the Culture of Medicine: From Evidence to Practice" is a book published by Oxford University Press in 2017. The co-editors will introduce the book by discussing the goals and framework of the project including a brief discussion concerning the problem of definitions of spirituality and religion, the quality of emperical research currently present within the field, and the future of interdisciplinary scholarly approaches for the field.
One of the key contributors of the book will present a "synthesis" of the field as it currently stands in his view.
A non-contributing senior scholar will provide critical analysis of the book, including thoughts on the book's strengths and shortcomings.
There will be time for group discussion.
